I really love Max Lucado books and he has written some really interesting and life changing ones. This book is a good book but for me wasnt as good as some of his others. My kids liked the book though and found it interesting all of the thing s it talks about using your hands for. The book does have some good illustrations though and has a great message. Again I think children will like the story and especially toddlers who are using their hands and will introduce them to lots of ways to use them

This review is actually for both of these books which were both provided for review by booksneeze. I loved these books as they were very inspiring. It shows how one persons actions can change future generations.

The Boy Who changed the World is geared towards children but It has a lot of writing and may go over younger childrens heads but it does make for some interesting conversations though.

The Butterfly Effect is for adults and has some added stories that are really thought provoking and really change the way you look at your interactions with others.

Both books are great and I would highly recommend them to others as they are both great books and really will make anyone look at the interactions with others.

I received Saint Francis by Robert West. I have only heard of Saint Francis in passing or a note in reading something else. I was very happy to get a chance to find out more about him and what he had done. Francis was a party man and loved to be part of the in crowd. When he one day had a dream in which God called him to service. What a life changing event to go from one extreme to another. Francis did what God called him to do and what he did in his life to follow Gods call is just simply amazing. I loved this book and cant wait to check out more from this series about different people that have encountered God and what changed in their lives.

This is book 2 in the Berinfell Prophecies series by Wayne Thomas Batson and Christopher Hopper. This is a great young adult series and I have been impressed so far with it. I would definitely read book one first as you find out alot about who the characters are and just what is going on. It did take me a little while to figure out who was who as it had been awhile since reading book one. The series tells of seven teens who find out they are elven lords. This book picks up right where the first left off and begins with the seven elven lords introduction to the elven world. The must also train and train quickly as the Spider King is searching for them. I received my review copy from booksneeze.com

There are some books that the author puts to much research into and the book drags along so slowly. There are also books that you can tell the author didnt do enough research and there are mistakes. Then there are books like this where the author does his research and is able to put it in the story where it flows and brings everything to light. Eric Wilson just keeps getting better with each book and brings the Jerusalems Undead series to a close with this the third book in the series.
The vampire story has been told numerous times especially in the last few years. But Eric Wilson brings a refreshing breath to the genre and to the struggle of good and evil. Gina Lazerescu prepares for the final showdown with the Akaldema cluster. She also finds out that her son is still alive and tries to rebuild her marriage with her husband Jed. I love the way the author mixes all of the research both the historical and the theological.
Eric Wilson also works in characters from his previous books and gives little nods to their stories. You dont need to have read them to enjoy this series but it does make the read more enjoyable. Im sad to see this story end and will miss the characters as I have grown really close to some of them.

I love these books and am sad that so many people have missed out on Eric Wilsons books. I have enjoyed reading them and watching Mr. Wilson grow as an author. Im also sad that his books have not been given the chance. I wish Eric Wilson the best and look forward to what he has in store in the future. I pray that God will continue to use him and help him spread the truth about the Nazarene Blood.

I was very interested to get the chance to review this for booksneeze. My family has a copy of the Read and Share Bible and was interested in seeing the video version of a few of the stories. I felt this could be a good way to get children more interested in the Bible. The animation for the video was good and fits really well with the way the pictures in the Bible copy look. What I didnt like though is they way they added little extras to the story that are not included in the Bible. I know they wanted the story to flow a little but I dont think you should add to the Word of God and confuse people.

I have 3 boys and one sat and watched the whole video, one watched about half, and the other watched just a little. I dont know if that is any indication of how long it can hold a childs interest but I really just think it depends on the kids mood.

SOUTH AFRICA (Part 1)

I know it has been quite a while since I posted anything but Here goes. The mission trip to South Africa went really well. I think everyone who was praying for our group, those that we were in contact with, and our families. The flight over was very long 20+ hours. I didnt have a problem with jet lag until I was back home and then I slept almost 12 hours. We arrived late the first night and were picked at the airport in Johannesburg and driven to the Wigwam Conference center. We stopped at Mickey D's on the way not really that much of a difference. Chicken strips I had were really good. I rode by myself with Paul a journeyman who was in S.A. for 2 yrs nd really enjoyed talking to him and getting to know alot about the area and what was going on. We arrived late and it was dark. We really just got settled in the first night. A couple of people rooms didnt have AC the first night but the were switched to different rooms the second day. The second day(Friday) we just hung out got over jet lag and waited for the missionary families to arrive. Went hiking up the mountain that was by the Center(a really beautiful view of the valley). WE meet the missionaries and then we took the kids over to their classrooms and played games with them just to kind of get to know them. Real great group ages 2-11 (11 total kids). Saturday we started the Vacation Bible School program for the Kids( boot camp/military theme) I played a drill sergeant in the skit we did. I love acting and had a good time doing this part. Nathan G. and I did the activities/games for each group{3 groups(age 2, age 4-6, age 7-11)}. Older ones were every aggresive and competitive, middle group were very polite and didnt get the whole team concept(they wanted to work together as a group) and the younger ones were just happy doing whatever. Really funny to see the vast difference of how the played the games and their approach to playing. That night the missionaries had a farewell for a family that was going to a different area and for Hope P. who was had just graduated and was going back to the states to attend college. It was great to be a part of this as it was like one big family reunion and I felt like I was a part of their family even after only really having meet them that day. I then went bowling with the youth that night and had a great time. They bowl barefooted or in their socks(you can get shoes but why). I had a good time I had the highest score but am very competitive and wanted a higher score but oh well. Stayed up late talking to Greg. Had a really great talk about life, missions, budgets, family, etc. Will post about the rest of the trip later and what else is going on when I get a chance.
